Lead Electrical Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to take responsibility for electrical engineering delivery on a large-scale Data Centre project in Germany.
The successful candidate will coordinate electrical engineering activities, support design review, manage technical documentation, work closely with site and project teams, and ensure electrical systems are delivered safely, correctly and in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering activities on site.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Coordinate electrical design information with site teams and subcontractors.
- Support delivery of LV and MV electrical systems.
- Manage RFIs, technical queries and engineering documentation.
- Ensure electrical works are delivered in line with design, quality and project requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, CSA, commissioning and project management teams.
- Support procurement, material approvals and technical submittals.
- Monitor installation progress and provide technical support to site teams.
- Identify design issues, risks or clashes and support timely resolution.
- Attend technical, coordination and progress meetings.
- Support testing, commissioning, energisation and handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ procedures, project standards and site requirements.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar.
- Minimum 4 years of electrical project engineering experience.
- Experience with an electrical contractor or engineering contractor.
- Experience on Data Centre, industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial or similar large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of LV and MV electrical systems.
- Experience in building services and mission-critical environments would be an advantage.
- Ability to review drawings, specifications, technical submittals and project documentation.
- Strong coordination skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good understanding of procurement, technical approvals, installation sequencing and commissioning requirements.
- Commercial awareness and strong problem-solving skills.
- Good command of English.
- Willingness to work on site in Germany.
- Due to legal and work authorisation requirements, EU citizenship or an EU passport is required.
